From MDRT to Mentorship: Benjamin Ong’s Impact on Finance

As the founder and CEO of Authentic Advisory Systems, Benjamin Ong represents a new breed of financial services leaders—those who combine performance with purpose, technology with trust, and ambition with authenticity.

In just five years, Benjamin has built one of Singapore’s most impactful coaching ecosystems for financial advisors, empowering a new generation of professionals to thrive ethically and systematically.

From achieving MDRT in record time to building a 7-figure business with a proprietary coaching methodology, Benjamin is redefining what’s possible in Singapore’s fast-evolving financial landscape.

Scaling with Purpose: From Sales to Systems

Q: Describe a specific initiative or program you’ve led that has contributed to Singapore’s development in the past 5 years.

A: In 2020, I developed and implemented the Value-First Selling System™ (V.F.S™), a coaching methodology designed to professionalize and modernize the way financial advisors in Singapore grow their businesses.

This system was born out of a crisis—COVID-19 had disrupted traditional prospecting models. Advisors were facing income instability and declining trust from clients. V.F.S™ changed that by offering a repeatable, ethical, and system-driven framework for prospecting, selling, and client engagement.

Since launch, the system has generated over $20 million in documented sales impact, helped 1 in 3 of our clients reach MDRT®, and trained 500+ local advisors. We’ve also created jobs in our own firm, paying $4,000–$8,000/month to Singapore-based staff. This directly supports Singapore’s national priorities in employment, skills development, and Smart Nation digitalization.

We digitized the entire learning ecosystem through webinars, cohort-based learning, and content creation on platforms like YouTube to make financial services coaching scalable and future-ready.

Building Systems, Not Solo Stars

Q: What unique perspective or expertise do you bring that is particularly relevant to Singapore’s next chapter of growth?

A: I achieved MDRT in seven months and led a team of ten advisors by 24—but I quickly realized the industry didn’t need more solo stars. It needed systems.

So I built a business that could replicate success through frameworks like V.F.S™, coaching not just sales skills but belief systems, leadership habits, and sustainable growth models.

My work advances three national goals:

  • Uplifting Professional Standards: Our programs help advisors hit global benchmarks like MDRT® with integrity.
  • Driving Entrepreneurship & Innovation: We’ve scaled a pandemic-born startup into a thriving coaching business employing Singaporeans.
  • Digitally Enabling Traditional Sectors: We’ve modernized the way sales training is delivered—through content, systems, and community.

And above all, we champion values-based success—Competitive Greatness, Radical Ownership, and Authentic Professionalism.

Coaching with Results and Realness

Q: How many Singaporean professionals have you trained or influenced through your work?

A: I have trained and influenced over 3,000 Singaporean professionals through my coaching programs, workshops, and advisory systems.

Q: What key Singapore-based organisations have you worked with?

A: Financial advisory firms, insurance companies, and professional development networks across Singapore’s advisory landscape.

Q: What sets you apart from other speakers/trainers in your field?

A: I’m not just a coach—I’ve lived the advisor journey. I built a 7-figure business from scratch and helped clients collectively produce $25M+ in sales. Our success rate is 98.7% because we don’t just teach—we transform.

We don’t rely on hacks or hype. We build enduring businesses, one system and belief at a time.

Q: What are your most impactful coaching programs right now?

A: Currently, my most impactful coaching programs are designed to deliver results through structure, integrity, and scalability:

  • Value-First Selling System™ – Our core framework for ethical, repeatable advisory growth
  • “Uplevel” MDRT Coaching Program – Designed to help advisors achieve and sustain MDRT®
  • “Quantum™” Mastermind – High-level leadership and team-building coaching

Q: Can you share examples of client success stories?

A: Absolutely. Melissa Ho hit double MDRT in ten months using our system—without cold calls, social media, or referrals. Zack Ng reached MDRT in eight months. Padrick grew from $30K to $200K in first-year commissions—all by following the V.F.S™ method. That’s the power of systems over stress.

Q: How do you stay current and continuously improve?

A: I run a business, coach clients weekly, analyze results, and publish across LinkedIn, YouTube, and podcasts. The feedback loop is live and unfiltered. That’s how we stay sharp, relevant, and aligned with the realities of Singapore’s financial industry.
