How Melvin Soh Scales Entrepreneurs with the X-Factor Method

Melvin Soh has built more than just a business—he’s built a movement. As Co-Founder of Enlightened Profits, Market Leaders and creator of the X-Factor Method and Industry Titans Coaching, he has empowered over 10,000 entrepreneurs in Singapore and around Asia to scale smarter, market authentically, and lead with conviction.

With a $25 million business empire under his belt and personal sales totalling over S$40 million, Melvin’s approach is proof that value-led marketing and strategic positioning can be powerful growth levers for Singapore’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In this SG60 Showcase feature, Melvin shares how his rebel entrepreneur journey is aligning with Singapore’s future as a premium hub of business innovation, and why competing on value—not price—is the future. Read on for a masterclass in authentic business growth.

Turning Singapore into Asia’s Business Coaching Powerhouse

Q: What program have you led that has significantly contributed to Singapore’s development?

A: As Co-Founder of Enlightened Profits and Market Leaders, I’ve turned Singapore into a key node for premium business education across Asia. Our signature X-Factor Method has helped hundreds of local entrepreneurs identify their unique market edge, scale globally, and generate over 9 figures in collective revenue growth.

We also launched the X-Factor Marketing Podcast and many other media to showcase Singapore’s success stories. I also served as Asian Ambassador for Marshall Thurber’s Future of Business Asia initiative from 2016-2018. These efforts have made Singapore synonymous with authentic business innovation and entrepreneurial credibility in the region.

Q: Why is your approach especially relevant for Singapore’s next chapter?

A: I built a $25 million business from scratch in under five years, headquartered in Singapore. My methods aren’t theoretical—they’re tested. I help entrepreneurs shift from price-based competition to premium positioning, which is vital for a small economy competing globally.

My “rebel entrepreneur” background—dropping out of university and creating success on my terms—mirrors Singapore’s startup ethos. I teach differentiation and authenticity, helping leaders become irreplaceable in their market.

Q: Who have you worked with in Singapore recently?

A: I have personally coached the large majority of coaches and speakers in the scene – virtually all the top players in real estate, financial advisory, marketing, business coaching, fitness, business strategy, relationships, and more. They have gone on to establish themselves as market leaders, and I couldn’t be more proud of them.

Systems for Scalable Success

Q: What are your most impactful programs, and how do they support national business goals?

A: My  two signature programs are:

  • The X-Factor Method: Helps entrepreneurs discover their unique differentiator and position themselves as premium providers.
  • Market Leaders: I show entrepreneurs how they can be a market leader using content marketing strategies in this brand new digital age and build a powerful community around their brand.

These programs help Singaporean businesses rise above price wars and embrace long-term, value-driven growth.

Q: What sets you apart from other trainers in the business coaching space?

A: I’m not a theorist—I’m a practitioner. I’ve helped build and mentor six- and eight-figure businesses using a proprietary framework, not recycled ideas. My background connects with non-traditional entrepreneurs who want substance, not fluff. Every strategy I teach has been implemented and stress-tested in my own company.

Q: How do you stay current and continuously evolve?

A: I stay close to the ground—mentoring, podcasting, and running real businesses. I learn directly from global mentors like Marshall Thurber and Mark Joyner, and even entrepreneurs younger than myself, and test strategies before teaching them. My content evolves based on market shifts, AI trends, and what truly moves the needle for entrepreneurs in today’s digital economy.
