Dr Gary Tho: Future-Ready Wellness Starts with Daily Choices

As the founder of ChiroWorks and a passionate advocate of the WOW wellness initiative—an existing program he discovered during his personal health journey—chiropractor Dr. Gary Tho is championing a holistic, habit-based approach to health in Singapore.

With over 260,000 followers online and a unique ability to simplify complex health concepts, he’s redefining what it means to be well in a nation striving for resilience, productivity, and sustainability.

In this SG60 Showcase feature, Dr Tho walks us through his work on preventive health, lifestyle medicine, and the power of small daily changes. His mission? To help Singaporeans move better, live better, and stay ahead, physically and mentally. Read on for a refreshing take on national wellness.

From Weight Loss to Wellness: A Community-Driven Approach

Q: Can you share a health initiative you’ve led that supports Singapore’s development goals?

A: Over the past two years, I’ve embarked on my own journey to improve my health, which others saw and wanted to. This inspired me to bring WOW to as many people as possible.

What’s WOW? It’s a wellness transformation program I discovered and adopted personally—originally created by others—which helps Singaporeans build sustainable habits for better nutrition, gut health, and self-awareness around food, sleep, and stress. Participants have lost over 2,000 kg collectively, with the majority being fat loss, improving metabolic health significantly.

Beyond weight, WOW has helped members reverse or reduce chronic conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and fatty liver. It’s aligned with Singapore’s goals to combat diabetes and promote preventive health. Most importantly, it’s a long-term solution—graduates maintain results independently. Healthier individuals lead to stronger families and lower healthcare costs, creating a ripple effect of resilience.

Q: What unique perspective do you bring to Singapore’s future?

A: As a lifestyle chiropractor, I focus on prevention—empowering people with simple, scalable strategies to sleep better, eat smarter, move more, and manage stress. I translate medical science into everyday language. This is especially critical in a society facing rising chronic disease and stress. Health isn’t optional anymore—it’s foundational to national growth.

My message is clear: when we feel better, we perform better. I’m here to help people reclaim their health so they can live fully and contribute meaningfully to Singapore’s next chapter.

Q: Who have you worked with locally?

A: I’ve partnered with Changi Simei CC, the Women’s Integration Network Council, and 365 Cancer Prevention Society. My talks are hands-on, high-energy, and designed to spark action, whether you’re a senior leader or community member.

Signature Programs for Everyday Empowerment

Q: What are your flagship programs, and how do they drive change?

A: My three signature topics are:

  • Calm the Chaos: Helping people manage stress and regain focus through breathwork, posture, and mindfulness.
  • Sit Straight Blueprint: Designed to improve posture, relieve pain, and build body awareness—especially for desk-bound professionals.
  • Eat Right: Simplifying nutrition and debunking diet myths so people can make informed food choices.

Each program is interactive, actionable, and grounded in real-world experience. They support national goals of building resilience, reducing chronic illness, and boosting productivity across workplaces and homes.

Delivering the “Sit Straight Blueprint,” Dr Tho simplifies posture and pain relief for busy professionals.

Q: What sets you apart in the wellness and training space?

A: I make health simple. My sessions turn scientific concepts into everyday habits. I don’t lecture—I engage. My background in both clinical work and consulting means I can connect theory with practice. My goal is always transformation, not just information.

Q: How do you stay ahead of trends and continue improving?

A: I stay updated through medical journals, podcasts, and expert networks in health and wellness. I also refine my delivery constantly, based on feedback and research. Learning never stops, and neither does my mission to help people move, feel, and live better.
