Dianna Lane on Digital Confidence in a Changing Singapore

Dianna Lane is an AI and soft skills trainer with over 20 years of experience helping thousands of Singaporeans speak, lead, and adapt with confidence.

As a Eurasian educator, communicator, and tech-savvy coach, she blends heart and innovation to equip Singapore’s workforce with tools that are both human and future-ready. Her work spans public service, education, and digital empowerment.

In this SG60 Showcase feature, Dianna shares how her transformative programs bridge emotional intelligence with AI fluency to help individuals connect, communicate, and lead in today’s digital world.

Equipping Singapore with Courage and Clarity in Communication

Q: You’ve contributed to Singapore’s development through various initiatives. What’s one that has made a deep impact?

A: One of my most meaningful initiatives is the “Speaking with Confidence” program, delivered to both MINDEF and public audiences. It’s designed not just to teach presentation skills, but to foster authentic, courageous communication. Participants learn to speak with empathy, listen deeply, and express themselves with clarity—all of which contribute to stronger trust and leadership.

By creating safe, judgment-free spaces, I help people—whether NSFs or working professionals—find their voice. This doesn’t just improve individual confidence; it strengthens social cohesion and resilience in our multicultural society. These soft skills are vital for building a more connected, inclusive Singapore.

Q: What unique expertise do you bring that aligns with Singapore’s future goals?

A: As a Eurasian woman who understands Singapore’s cultural layers, I bring a grassroots lens and bridge-building approach. I help learners navigate AI tools and digital communication—not just with skills, but with heart. Many mid-career professionals feel left behind by tech, and I specialize in making AI approachable and empowering.

Whether I’m teaching someone how to present confidently or use ChatGPT to streamline marketing, I focus on dignity and empowerment. My workshops fuse personal growth with tech adoption—helping Singapore’s workforce not only adapt to change but lead with pride and purpose.

Q: How many professionals in Singapore have benefited from your work?

A: I’ve trained more than 10,000 Singaporeans through workshops and programs delivered at MINDEF, FirstCom Academy, and Amity Global Institute. Over my career, I’ve helped between 50,000 to 70,000 learners across Asia-Pacific grow in areas like communication, AI, leadership, and digital marketing.

Humanizing the Digital Era Through Authentic Learning

Q: What sets your training style apart from others?

A: My sessions are warm, interactive, and grounded in both emotional intelligence and real-world tech tools. I don’t just teach people how to speak—I help them express their truth while using AI and digital platforms to enhance their presence. It’s the combination of authenticity and innovation that makes the experience transformational.

I’m also deeply committed to making sure learners feel safe, seen, and supported. That balance between human connection and digital capability is what drives long-lasting change in my classrooms.

Q: How do you stay current and ensure your sessions stay impactful?

A: I’m constantly learning—from AI communities, webinars, and hands-on experimentation with new tools. I also gather detailed feedback from my participants to refine my delivery. Whether I’m creating content, studying global trends, or exploring neuroscience-based methods, my goal is to keep every session fresh, relevant, and deeply effective.
