Lee See Ting on Youth Empowerment & Purposeful Leadership

As the founder of The Emboldr (formerly known as Kidzstarter), Lee See Ting is building bridges between education and the evolving world of work. Her mission is clear: equip young people with more than just skills—give them the mindset and confidence to shape the future.

With deep experience in youth development, entrepreneurial learning, and Gen Z engagement, See Ting is helping Singapore cultivate a resilient, values-driven generation.

In this SG60 Showcase feature, See Ting shares how her work empowers students to navigate uncertainty, redefines career education, and supports national goals of inclusive, future-ready growth. Read on to discover how one educator is reimagining impact for the next generation.

Reframing the Future: Education as Agency

Q: Can you share a program that has meaningfully contributed to Singapore’s development?

A: One of the most meaningful initiatives I’ve led is #10,000 Voices — a regional campaign that brings together youth across Singapore and the region to have real, unfiltered conversations about what the future of work should look like.

We engage young people not just as participants, but as co-creators — inviting them to reflect, speak up, and shape what school, work, and leadership need to become.

Through storytelling, peer-led dialogue, and intergenerational forums, we’ve created space for honest conversations between students, employers, and educators. The insights we’ve gathered are already informing how organizations think about early talent, how schools prepare youth for the real world, and how we can lead with empathy in a rapidly changing world of work.

To me, #10,000 Voices is more than a campaign — it’s a movement to centre young people in the design of what comes next.

Bridging Youth and Workforce Futures

Q: What unique value do you bring to Singapore’s future growth?

A: I see myself as a bridge between youth aspirations and workforce evolution. Through The Emboldr, I design programs that help students and young professionals build self-awareness, resilience, and purpose.

In a world shaped by digital disruption, ageing populations, and sustainability, my work equips future talent not just to adapt, but to lead. Whether advising corporates on engaging Gen Z or mentoring students through identity work, I bring both heart and strategy to the table.

Q: Who have you worked with recently in Singapore?

A: I’ve collaborated with NUS, Visa APAC, SINDA, Ngee Ann Poly, ITE, Singapore International Foundation (SIF), and Human Capital Leadership Institute (HCLI). Across these touchpoints, I aim to spark clarity and courage—whether through career design, personal branding, or future-of-work coaching.

Signature Programs for the Next Generation

Q: What are your most impactful programs, and how do they align with national priorities?

A: My signature offerings include:

  • Navigating the Future of Work: A workshop that helps students and young professionals understand macro trends and their own micro ambitions.
  • Purposeful Pursuit: Identity-building meets goal-setting. It’s about helping youth define success on their own terms.
  • Redefining Future of Learning: A session that empowers educators to co-create meaningful learning journeys with the next generation.

Together, these programs support Singapore’s priorities around workforce readiness, sustainable growth, and leadership development. They turn uncertainty into an invitation for discovery.

Q: What sets you apart from others in this space?

A: I speak and share from lived experience. My work is rooted in real conversations with young people and grounded action with the institutions that shape them. I help youth build identity before resumes, and I bridge the gap between classrooms and boardrooms — turning raw potential into purpose-driven leadership.

Above all, my approach is rooted in values, powered by story, and driven by a deep commitment to reimagining how we learn, lead, and grow — from the inside out.

Q: How do you stay future-ready and continuously improve?

A: I stay plugged into what students are thinking, what industries are seeking, and what’s changing in the world. Moreover, I believe in continuous learning and self-development, regularly attending conferences to test ideas and learn through feedback.

In essence, staying relevant, to me, is about staying relational—curious, reflective, and always in conversation with what’s emerging.
