With over 35 years of connection to Singapore and a career that spans international audiences, George Lee is more than a trainer—he is a mindset architect.

In this SG60 Showcase feature, George reflects on the values that propelled Singapore’s rise and how he’s using those very principles to inspire leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and even parents.

From the halls of MINDEF to international stages in Asia, George shares how mental strength, resilience, and authenticity form the foundation for future-ready leadership.

Resilience and Mindset: A Singapore Story Shared Abroad

Q: You’ve conducted training across the region. How does Singapore’s story show up in your international work?

A: I’ve conducted various courses and talks in Asia, such as Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand etc. In every session, I highlight the mindset of our early Singapore leaders. Without their resilience and grit, Singapore wouldn’t be what it is today. I used their stories to inspire others, showing how belief, tenacity, and unity can transform a nation. It makes me proud as a Singaporean to carry this message abroad.

Q: What unique insight do you bring to support Singapore’s continued growth?

A: Singapore’s greatest strength lies in our mindset. It’s one of unwavering resilience—never giving up, even when the odds are stacked against us. I instill that in every training, whether it’s for a CEO, a salesperson, a teacher, or a parent. It’s the mindset that got us to where we are and the one that will take us even further.

Q: How many professionals in Singapore have benefited from your programs?

A: I’ve had the privilege of impacting over 10,000 professionals, from C-suites to educators and frontline teams. Organizations like MINDEF, MOE, the Singapore School of Technology, HSBC Life, Great Eastern, AIA, and Standard Chartered Bank have all engaged with my programs over the past three years.

Training with Authenticity and Vision

Q: You train leaders and assess international trainers. What sets your approach apart?

A: I’m an internationally accredited NLP and Hypnosis Master Trainer, certified by ABNLP, IFNLP, and ABH. What sets me apart is that I walk the talk. As a parent myself, I don’t just teach concepts—I live them. Whether it’s resilience, communication, or emotional management, I bring authenticity and lived experience to every session.

Q: How do you stay on top of your game in such a fast-evolving field?

A: I’m always learning. I attend workshops and talks by other trainers to expand my perspective and sharpen my craft. Growth doesn’t stop when you become a master—in fact, that’s when it becomes your responsibility to grow even more.
