How Harvey Chia Simplifies Landed Property Investment

As Head of Investment Advisory at Singapore Realtors Inc (SRI) and Co-Founder of the Property Roundtable Podcast, Harvey Chia brings over 15 years of real estate experience, combining institutional knowledge with boots-on-the-ground investment practice.

Known for his strategic approach to Singapore’s landed property market, Harvey is reshaping how Singaporeans view wealth building through real estate.

In this SG60 Showcase conversation, Harvey shares how education, transparency, and innovation are key to empowering a new generation of investors in Singapore. He’s not just commenting on the market—he’s actively changing it.

Shaping Mindsets Through Education and Real-World Practice

Q: Describe a specific initiative or program you’ve led that has contributed to Singapore’s development in the past 5 years.

A: In 2023, I launched the Property Roundtable Podcast, Singapore’s first educational platform focused on landed property investment.

Only 5% of the population resides in landed homes, but they hold immense value. The podcast closes that education gap, making these investment strategies accessible to more than just high-net-worth individuals.

Each episode features market analysis, case studies, and practical insights. I lead by example—investing, reconstructing, and documenting my own projects. These transparent journeys build trust and show what’s possible.

I’ve also been invited to share these strategies in the media and at major seminars, helping families restructure portfolios for multigenerational wealth. This aligns closely with Singapore’s goals of resilience, innovation, and strong family units.

Q: What unique perspective or expertise do you bring that is particularly relevant to Singapore’s next chapter of growth?

A: I combine institutional capital markets experience from JLL, Citibank, UOB, and Colliers with actual hands-on landed property investment. Most Singaporeans don’t have access to this intersection of knowledge. My background allows me to simplify and apply institutional-grade strategies to everyday Singaporeans, especially in the landed segment.

My philosophy of leading the market—not following it—matches Singapore’s innovation goals. I’ve helped clients and families unlock value in a highly regulated market and turned traditional real estate into a driver of productivity and wealth. This blend of strategic foresight and practical action is exactly what’s needed in today’s real estate climate.

Q: How many Singaporean professionals have you trained or influenced through your work?

A: Between 500 to 1,000 through the podcast, advisory sessions, and seminars.

Investing with Purpose, Leading with Impact

Q: What sets you apart from other speakers or trainers in your field?

A: I’ve got skin in the game. I’m not just talking theory—I’m investing in almost every market segment, including landed homes. My background in financial institutions, combined with my personal track record, gives me unique credibility. People trust what I say because I’ve done it myself.

Q: How do you stay current with industry trends and continuously improve your craft?

A: I stay sharp through live transactions, podcast research, and ongoing reconstruction projects. I lead a team at SRI and regularly mentor others, which keeps me tuned in to market needs. My content creation forces me to constantly learn, and I regularly assess my own investment performance to refine what works. This constant feedback loop ensures I stay ahead.
