Q: You’ve contributed to Singapore’s development in various impactful ways. Can you share a key initiative?

A: Since 2015, I’ve anchored my company, YES, in Singapore—turning it into a regional hub for neuroscience-based professional development. We’ve partnered with over 100 Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies globally.

One key innovation is Upbeat®—a neuroscience-informed drumming experience that enhances thinking, team performance, focus, and cohesion. It’s an experiential learning method that places Singapore at the forefront of applying brain science to corporate learning.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I helped Singaporean businesses adapt to virtual formats, providing insights on psychological resilience and effective leadership during uncertainty. This contributed to Singapore’s digital transformation and organizational readiness for remote work.

Altogether, these initiatives support Singapore’s positioning as a Smart Nation and a leadership development hub.

Empowering 2,000+ Leaders with Neuroscience and Global Insight

Q: What unique expertise do you offer that aligns with Singapore’s next chapter of growth?

A: My strength lies in combining neuroscience, organizational psychology, and creative methodology to drive leadership transformation. With certifications in Brain-Based Coaching, Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder-Centered Coaching, and Barrett Analytics®, I bring evidence-based tools to elevate leadership and culture.

My 2023 Routledge award-winning book, Tailored Approaches to Self-Leadership, showcases Singapore as a source of thought leadership in professional development.

I also integrate empathy, data, and global experience into my work, skills essential as Singapore continues growing as a talent and innovation hub. My methods empower leaders to stay adaptive, human-centered, and globally competitive.

Q: How many professionals in Singapore have you trained or influenced?

A: Over 2,000 professionals across Singapore have participated in my programs, including those from EGN executive peer groups, SICC, and global companies with local operations. I also serve on executive committees and advisory boards that shape Singapore’s learning and development ecosystem.

The Upbeat® Approach to High-Performance Teams

Q: What sets you apart from others in your field?

A: I bring a rare fusion of neuroscience expertise, CSP-level speaking credentials, and hands-on leadership in Singapore’s professional ecosystem. I don’t just consult—I create transformative experiences. My Upbeat® sessions use rhythm to rewire how teams collaborate and perform. It’s not just energizing; it’s rooted in brain science.

I also serve on professional associations and peer groups, continuously refining what I teach based on real C-suite challenges. Whether I’m delivering a keynote, designing a culture strategy, or writing content, I stay focused on impact and innovation.

Q: How do you stay current and continuously evolve your practice?

A: I engage with global networks, continuously pursue new certifications, and write regularly on leadership and culture. Chairing the EGN Executive Leadership Group gives me first-hand insight into current executive challenges. I also learn through publishing—my Routledge book went through extensive research and peer review.

My international client work keeps me alert to cultural shifts and emerging trends. This keeps my work relevant, rigorous, and results-driven.
