Championing Education and Medical Excellence

Q: You’ve played a key role in professional development within aesthetic medicine. Can you tell us about a standout initiative?
A: Since 2010, I’ve led the Myface cadaveric workshop and helped organize various conferences in the aesthetic and wellness industry. These initiatives aim to elevate the standards of practice and reduce complications through hands-on learning.
I’m also the current President of the Singapore Chapter of the International College of Surgeons (ICS), and its World Treasurer. As part of SG60, I’m organizing the ICS World Congress here in Singapore from December 4–6, 2025—a milestone event aligning with our national celebrations.
In addition, I serve as an Executive Committee Member in both the Society of Aesthetic Medicine (Singapore) and the Society of Men’s Health (Singapore), where I continue contributing to professional development and industry standards.
Q: What makes your training approach so impactful for Singapore’s medical ecosystem?
A: I believe in raising the bar through education. Training and upskilling local doctors is critical not just for patient outcomes but also for Singapore’s global positioning. The better trained our practitioners are, the more we become a magnet for medical tourists. This drives healthcare investment and creates high-quality employment opportunities for locals.
Q: How many professionals have benefited from your work so far?
A: I’ve trained between 500 to 1,000 Singaporean & international professionals over the years, either through formal workshops, industry partnerships, or speaking engagements with organizations like Galderma, Hyphen, Pan Malayan, Menarini, and others. Each interaction builds our collective capability as a nation.
From Local Innovation to Global Recognition

Q: You hold several global titles and accolades. What sets you apart in the field of aesthetic medicine?
A: I’m the only Honorary Clinical Lecturer from Asia teaching the Master of Surgery in Aesthetics at University College London (UCL). Being part of such a global faculty ensures I stay ahead of industry trends while representing Asia and Singapore on the international stage. Myface, the cadaveric workshop I started, was the first in Singapore and has inspired many others to adopt similar models. I continuously introduce new and important topics to the field.
Q: How do you ensure you stay at the cutting edge of aesthetic and regenerative medicine?
A: I’m constantly invited to speak at and attend international conferences, which keeps me updated with the latest research and technology. I also serve on advisory panels for pharmaceutical companies developing new solutions. Being an educator also requires me to remain sharp and informed—my students expect the best, and I intend to deliver.
