Wei Lin Ting and His Secret to Solving Global Challenges
Q: Can you share how your product or service has positively impacted a customer’s life?
A: One use case is the Safety Quiz for a construction site at Night Safari in Singapore. Traditionally, delivering safety training in person can be challenging due to scheduling difficulties and language barriers. However, WhatsApp Quiz Maker enabled Top Pave to overcome these challenges and deliver accessible training content to its workers. It doesn’t matter regardless of their location, age, or language skills.
Another use case is the Math Quiz for a school in Tanzania. Teachers use the Quiz Maker to create weekly science and math homework. Students in developing nations do not have easy access to Learning Management Systems, unlike students in developed countries. They use mobile phones like how we use our laptops. Having their homework delivered in WhatsApp and doing the quizzes helps to make learning easy and accessible to anyone.
A third use case is increasing engagement in WhatsApp groups and chats—specifically for religious engagement for a non-profit organization in Indonesia, Kuisal Kitab. Indonesia has one of the lowest email opening rates in the world. Every conversation, whether for business or personal, is done on WhatsApp. By creating a no-code platform where everyone can easily create a quiz or form on WhatsApp, anyone can use WhatsApp as a channel to engage and educate. Kuisal Kitab created a WhatsApp survey form to engage their large community of religious teachers in WhatsApp. With WhatsApp Quiz Maker, they achieved high opening rates and easily collected meaningful responses all within a day.
Q: What feedback and recognition have you received from customers, partners, or industry experts?
A: We’ve received positive feedback from various customers and industry experts. One customer mentioned, “We can create Bible quizzes instantly using AI. It has both AI and manual creation.” Another shared, “Safety Induction training over WhatsApp is truly innovative and engaging. My workers found it super easy to access the content and it saved my Safety Officer more than 100 man hours per month.” We’ve also heard, “Onboarding can become automated, and, more importantly, the process has been shortened significantly.” Lastly, the simple, bite-sized quizzes have been praised for enhancing the learning experience, with one user saying, “Simply love this style of rapid learning.”
Q: What is your vision for your startup’s long-term impact and growth potential?
A: We envision WhatsApp Quiz Maker to be the fastest quiz maker in the world. Currently, we have more than 4,500 users from across 80 countries, and we aim to exceed 10,000 users by the end of 2024. We want to make a meaningful impact in the areas of education, safety, and religion, by allowing our users to leverage generative AI in quiz creation and deploy quizzes rapidly over WhatsApp.
Q: How do your motivation and commitment drive you to create a meaningful impact?
A: Our motivation comes from a problem we’re passionate about solving. It’s the challenge of delivering engaging, effective quizzes at scale. We believe leveraging generative AI can make a difference in users’ lives. This will uplift the quality of academic, safety, and religious education.
